Join Us For Our 2018 Summer Speed Clinics!
6 Hours Of Training That Will Positively Impact Your Career For Years To Come
Open the eyes of coaches and scouts with another gear they didn’t think you had!
We have created a Speed & Strength system that allows us to confidently say this:
Our program gets superior results thanks to decades spent refining & improving our training.
Patterned after our daily speed development classes we are now taking applications for entry into our Summer 2018 speed clinics.
Our format emphasizes personal service, from video analysis to personal workout programs for speed and agility development.
Because of this, we take a very low number of athletes into each 3 day program – just 6 kids max.
And really, speed development is so hard to pin down, because everyone will have slightly different needs, that it makes no sense to run large group clinics.
I mean, you’d have to be one superhuman coach to provide elite service to 40+ athletes at once in an area that is so challenging to improve!
THE 3 DAY FORMAT – WHAT WE DO
We introduce our comprehensive, movement skill-based warm up that focuses on improving how you move, which translates to better speed & agility potential with lower injury risk
You will be timed in the 5-10-5 shuttle run and 30 yard dash to set your baseline speeds in each. In addition, we’ll do our video analysis to prepare for the work to be done on Days 2 and 3.
From there, we’ll introduce some general technical drills that most athletes tend to need as an introduction to the personal workouts coming on Day 2.
Finally, we finish with group agility and reactive training that adds an element of fun, but really is designed to reinforce the fundamentals we worked on earlier in the session.
After our first session concludes, we as coaches get to the hard work of breaking down your video in order to identify your greatest areas for improvement in both your sprinting and cutting technique.
How we do this is not anything you as an athlete needs to worry about ( although we are always 100% happy to explain it all!), but the end result is each participant will have their own unique workout plan.
So Day 2, after completion of our injury prevention warm up, focuses
heavily on covering each person’s greatest training needs, and teaching the exercises everyone will do in their personal speed development workouts.
The personal workout training takes up much of Day 2, but it does not fill the entire 2 hour session.
The end will still feature group reactive training, to help everyone to move at the speed of their sport while again reinforcing the skills we hammer at earlier on.
DAY THREE – RE-TEST AND ADVANCED SKILL WORK
Before we end our week of training together, we want to re-assess how the personal workout training is going after a couple of days.
So we will re-test the 5-10-5 shuttle and 30 yard dash to gain instant feedback on how well it is impacting the skills of each participant.
Now, we can’t guarantee that everyone is going to see major changes after just two days, but we do this for a few reasons:
- To reinforce progress on technical issues, which can improve in as few as 2 sessions.
- To give everyone a chance to do the tests after they know what is holding them back. Even without improvement, often times when you feel your mistake the 2nd time it leads to greater improvement later on.
- To celebrate the hard work of all our kids, because we all love to see instant feedback from our hard work.
OK, THEN WHAT?
At the end of our clinic every athlete will have in their possession a personal speed workout that they can (and should) continue to follow well past the end of our 3 day clinic.
For kids who need to gain strength or flexibility, continued training is absolutely necessary to see progress.
And even for those who improved due to technical skill enhancement, that progress won’t last for very long if you don’t continue to reinforce it.
So really, what we are doing here is running a 6 hour clinic that allows you to improve for many months afterwards!
What Power Source does in this program is just awesome. It is really a non-stop session of technique drills that get you focused on what you can do better.
It’s a great class to do if you’re serious about becoming a better athlete.”

This program has greatly helped me in track. At the beginning of the season I ran a 24 second lap (133 meters), but thanks to what I learned here by the end if was 18 seconds*.
This helped my 4 X 200 indoor track team break our school record!”

Before my speed training started I had always wondered why I wasn’t as fast as I thought I could be. It was really frustrating until I started the lessons. I was shown all the different aspects of running and how to improve them not only during the lesson time but on my own as well. ”
